Webbe’s Rock-a-nore

Paul Webbe, chef-owner of the Webbe’s family of restaurants, loves to share his knowledge and the pleasure of cooking local food at source. At Webbe’s Rock-a-nore in Hastings, this passion has resulted in the Source to Sauce Cookery Mornings – an unforgettably hands-on way to hone your kitchen skills in all things fishy.

Beyond the Cookery School, the restaurant is well worth visiting in its own right. At the heart of Hastings Old Town, it has one of the shortest ingredient journeys imaginable – about a minute across the shingle beach from boat to kitchen. If there is a restaurant in Britain offering fresher seafood, we’ve yet to hear of it.

Visit in June/July for the Midsummer Fish Festival, or September for the Seafood and Wine Festival.
